The Journeyman

THE JOURNEYMAN is a Public Arts Commission for the City of Aurora, Illinois’ newly refurbished Public Transportation Center. This life-sized cast bronze represents the working people of Aurora, where, at various times throughout their history, more than half the population of the city was employed by the railroads.

THE JOURNEYMAN is facing West, contemplating the phenomenon that is his job…opening the western United States. THE JOURNEYMAN is installed at the Aurora Transportation Center, hub of the railroads.   See more
